Our Summer Toile fabric is known for its durability and sturdiness. This fabric combines the softness and utility of cotton with the added breathability of the linen. It has a substantial weight, making it ideal for garments and items that require a bit more structure. Used across skirts, shirts, dresses and pants, this canvas-like material is a perfect choice for those who adore a structured and clean look whilst also prioritising comfort.
We recommend to machine wash the fabric in max 30 degrees and to dry the products on a line avoiding longtime exposure to direct sunlight. To preserve its quality, avoid using high heat, as it can cause shrinkage or damage the fibers.
Ironing on a low setting is recommended if needed. Additionally, turning the fabric inside out before washing can help minimize wear and tear, keeping the fabric looking new for longer.
It's important to note that the fabric may have a bit of stiffness, making it less drapey than lighter fabrics. This quality is useful for creating garments that require more shape and structure. While the Summer Toile fabric is durable and can withstand regular use, frequent wear and friction can lead to pilling over time, particularly in high-friction areas like underarms or where a bag might rub. Pilling can be gently removed with a fabric comb or shaver.
