Boiled wool is a type of fabric made by shrinking knitted wool fabric in hot water. It's a unique fabric with a dense and compact texture, making it an ideal choice for outerwear and winter clothing. Boiled wool is more water-resistant than many other fabrics. warm, durable, and resistant to wind.
Boiled wool is made from wool fibers, which are naturally prone to pilling. The short, fine fibers in wool can easily loosen and tangle when rubbed. Areas of the garment that experience frequent rubbing—such as under the arms, on the sides, or where a bag might rest—are more likely to pill. The friction causes the fibers to lift from the surface and form small balls. Remove pilling gently with a fabric comb or shaver.

We recommend dry clean only for this fabric. Boiled wool is more delicate than regular wool because it's treated with heat and agitation, making it less durable in high-temperature or rough machine washes.
The fabric has already been shrunk during processing, so machine washing or exposure to high temperatures can lead to additional shrinkage and distortion. Dry cleaning helps preserve the garment's shape and structure, ensuring it remains in excellent condition without the risk of misshaping or loss of form.
